  1. Rockford will eventually see an exponential increase in pax traffic when the W/NW Suburbs reach Marengo and ORD is once again max’d.

    There is a great article that the Chicago Tribune put out in 2005 that supports such foresight:

    Although it can be argued that the name “Chicago Rockford”, in terms of pax draw, might be premature, it will be aptly titled in due time.
