Does it mean we’re getting old when 9/11 is now old enough to drink? I think what’s most amazing to me is the number of people in this industry who have no recollection of that day at all because they were either too young or they weren’t even born. The march of time continues, as it always has.
Time may have marked the end of Holly Hegeman’s PlaneBusiness as well, but that won’t stop me from continuing the tradition she started so many years ago… honoring those on-duty crewmembers who were murdered that day twenty years ago by printing their names.

If anybody is ever on the Pennsylvania turnpike, please make the time to see the Flight 93 memorial. I live in a city of monuments and memorials and it’s truly one of the most special places I’ve ever been.
A 20 minute ATC delay and the heroism of these passengers are why the Capitol is still standing. Living 4 blocks from there since 1999, it’s not hard to imagine what could have been.
