Welcome to the New Email Subscription System

Admin

I mentioned this a couple weeks ago, but today The Cranky Flier is officially switching over to the new Postmatic email subscription system. Here’s what you need to know.

*If you have any problems receiving emails, let me know ASAP in the comments or by email me at cf@crankyflier.com.

*You don’t need to do anything to make the switch. Your email addresses have been imported. Of course, if you want to unsubscribe, all you have to do is reply to the email and say “unsubscribe” in the body. This is stated in every email that goes out so you won’t need to remember.

*Today and tomorrow, you will get duplicate emails, one from the new system and one from the old. I just want to make sure that everything is working right before shutting off the old one on Sunday.

*Emails were sent on a delayed basis before. Now, they will be sent within an hour after the posts go live at 345a PT each day. (Any rare special post at a different time will be sent at that time without delay.)

*If you want to send a note directly to me, you can no longer hit reply to these emails. When you reply, it will be posted to the blog as a comment. This will make conversation easier, but I can imagine you might make some mistakes. If you accidentally find a note posted that you meant to send to me directly, email me at cf@crankyflier.com and I’ll pull it down during the first month of getting used to the new system.

*If you aren’t a subscriber, you must be reading this on the website. If you’d like to sign up, it’s easy and it’s free. Go to crankyflier.com/subscribe or look for the link in the sidebar on every page.

One more time… If you have any problems receiving emails, let me know ASAP in the comments or by email me at cf@crankyflier.com. The old email subscription will be gone by Monday.

Funny in the beginning of computers we were made to believe everything was easy-perfect-wonderful-care free, etc. But we’ve all learned over the years that nothing works right, or goes easy, or is perfect or care free…..lol
