Travel in between the holidays is actually a good time to have the holiday. Due work schedules I used to fly home and my family would have Christmas the week before Christmas. Airports were calm, flights not full and the best of all when Christmas came, you could be home and have a quiet Christmas with local friends and just relax.

Holiday travel planning should also include getting a box and mailing gifts and things you may need while visiting family out of town. The less you have to carry to/from the airport the better. And mail a box(es) to your destinatin and home again can be a lot less then paying to check a much of bags on the plane.

That’s great that WN has promo fares in the between holiday dead zones but it does nothing for my travel. Not holding my breath on cheap fares to YYZ or YVR anytime soon.
