I’m Taking the Week Off

With Easter falling so late this year, my kids don’t have spring break until next week. So, I’m gonna grab a truckload of BuzzBallz and take them to Havasu to show them what a real spring break is like.

Wait, that plan was so 5 minutes ago. I’m getting into the patriotic spirit by flip-flopping every few hours. The one thing I won’t be flip-flopping on, however, is that I’m taking the week off. The next post will be the usual Cranky Weekly Review next Friday.

In the meantime, you can always listen to this week’s The Air Show podcast where we try to make sense of demand trends. As you can imagine, that’s not easy.

I’ll be back on Friday.

Joe/Bill – You know, funny you should say that…. I did not do a mileage run, but we actually long ago had booked a trip to the islands. Got back last night! I will, of course, write that up. And sure, I got myself some Alaska miles for the trip.

Enjoy. Lake Havasu City isn’t far from Vidal, California, the location of the only home Wyatt Earp ever owned (he smartly rented a place in L.A. during the summers). By the way, Earp’s last common-law wife was Jewish, and his ashes are buried with her in a Jewish cemetery, the Hills of Eternity Memorial Park, in Colma, California, south of San Francisco. Colma has a population of about 1700 living people with about 1.5 million interred in various cemeteries. I understand that Earp’s is the most visited grave in the cemetery (even more than Joe DiMaggio’s). I’m pretty sure this is far more than you want to know about Wyatt Earp or Colma.
