We didn’t plan on having another guest this week, but when the opportunity arises… who are we to turn it down?
Southwest made its announcement last week that it was eliminating expiration dates on all unexpired credits. This is a big deal, though it was overshadowed by the Frontier/JetBlue/Spirit love triangle. And I was happy to be able to talk to Ryan Green, Southwest’s Chief Marketing Officer, to understand this.
I was hoping to get more detail on the math. There’s obviously some risk here in that all those credits that expired — however much they are worth, I couldn’t get out of him — will now continue to be live. But for travelers, this is an unquestionable win.
