Still think it is/was mostly the pilots fault that the MAXs crashed. Training and skill is not what it used to be. Airbus is the way of the future, more of being system mangers than pilots. Listen to the podcast Air Safety Detectives episode 19 on the Lion Air crash. I think Boeing initially didn’t what to point these facts out as they would lose customers, but it spiraled out of control. They had no choice but to accept all the blame. It cost them big.
