MCI is my home airport and it’s time to remodel or build new. I like the current design but it’s aging out. I think it is foolish to try and design a new terminal with so much glass. Not only does it make it hard to control the hvac in hot or cold midwest days but it seems very susceptible to security risks like tornados or even truck bombs. In addition if the current suggested design makes it so hard to add 4 gates what will we do in say 15 years when we need 10 more?
