Oh yeah, that’s a cheesy title. There’s no question about it. But that’s really Southwest’s personality. They’re just plane cheesy. (Ok, seriously, I’ll stop.)
The point is that I love it.
Today I got home from work and found a note from Southwest in my mailbox. None of this e-card crap – this was a real piece of paper. On the front of the card it said, We can remember when you first walked down the aisle, just like it was yesterday.
Ok. I don’t remember getting married . . .
Then I opened it up and saw this image
I’m guessing you can’t read it, but it basically says thanks for being a member of Rapid Rewards for one year. To celebrate my first anniversary, they sent me a $10 off coupon from Alamo for my next car rental.
Now let’s think about this. Ten friggin’ dollars off a car rental? Who cares?!? Yet as I dropped it into the trash can, I still felt that warm fuzzy feeling. I like that they recognize meaningless dates like this, and I like that I am apparently important enough to get a real card. That costs money, and airlines love doing whatever they can to stop giving out money. Not Southwest, they care, and I think that’s great.

I fly Southwest often, very efficient airline
page.lysupportadmin – Agreed. Very efficient.
Have you received actual cards from them since?
No I haven’t.
Maybe their Mail filter is a bit too aggressive as well ;)
Yeah, I’d say so. Maybe this will fix it.
Perhaps it is a bit aggressive.
Yes, but there’s nothing wrong with being aggressive sometimes.
