The Crankyspotting Dorkfest is A Mere Two Weeks Away

This is just a friendly reminder that two weeks from tomorrow, it’s time for the annual Crankyspotting Dorkfest at the In ‘n Out by LAX. This is an extremely casual event, so just show up between 11a and 1p and watch airplanes. Bring your cameras, your old timetables, and most importantly, your stories. We’ll have plenty of time to kick back and talk shop, Double Double in hand, while watching airplanes fly over.

And for those of you lucky enough to secure a seat on the Pan Am 747 that night, more information will be sent to you directly. It’s going to be a fantastic event.

What does “Double Double in hand” mean ?

  2. James Burke says:

Maybe next time I will have to schedule my vacation around this – is there an event for wives/significant others that could not care less about airplanes running concurrently?

If your and/or her wallet can stand it-there are a lot of shopping venues not all that far away. Heading south from the In n Out down Sepulveda there is a Big Box Retail area and a Mall near the intersection with Rosecans-and about 6-7 miles away south on Torrance is the “monster” Del Amo Mall-it streches over about 4-5 blocks.

    • CF says:

James – It should be a beautiful day in Southern California with a nice grassy area for us all to hang out. Even non-airline people can have fun! (Bring a tablet just in case…)

  3. Tammy and I will be there, can’t wait!

  4. Quest says:

Are you coming back to Tempe anytime soon for another one? Or maybe another at LAX in the spring. Can’t miss the ASU/USC game!!

    • CF says:

Quest – I will be back in Phoenix next month but I don’t think I’ll have time for an event I’m afraid. I might be able to do one there in the spring.

  5. Animal style, baybee!!! Wish I could be there and at the Pan Am event! CF and his stupid West coast bias! ;-)

  6. Axelsarkis says:

Looking forward to it–bar any absurd essays or the like, I should be able to make it in the afternoon.
