I spent much of my Thursday talking to a variety of local news as they tried to figure out what exactly was happening with this FAA order to reduce flying. The problem is, not only did I not know much but neither did the airlines. This was one ridiculous experience.

Following on the local news folks, there were broader ones asking bigger questions about what this means and how people should react. In general, my suggestion was to wait and see, but there was no clear, good advice here. Nobody knew what was going to happen, and even now there is significant confusion.
