78th IATA Annual General Meeting Recap – Airways
I’ve never gone to an AGM. I almost went one year, because as I understand it, you can’t turn around without running into a CEO. But it never really seemed worth it to me. This year’s was supposed to be in Shanghai, but, well, yeah, no. So Doha stepped and went nuts. JLo playing for the crowd in a giant stadium? Yup. Getting any work done? I suppose so.

The new MH safety video is just terrible. I don’t understand the need for airlines to outdo one another with the safety video. It’s as if they are trying to win the Tony Award for the best musical. Safety video should convey safety matters in a clear way especially for elderly passengers or first time flyers. This reminds me of a safety video that EVA Air put out a few years ago with ballet dancers, WTH?!
It really sets the mood for “the next few hours of my life are going to be loud and obnoxious” doesn’t it?
Is that an MH safety video or an audition for the latest Highschool Musical remake?
