Cranky Talk – The One About the MAX
We figured it was time to do an episode about the Boeing 737 MAX, so… here it is. Dave and I start by talking about what was wrong with the airplane, and then we get into why I wouldn’t have any qualms about flying on the airplane today despite its checkered origin story.
If you’d like to get more comfortable with the airplane, have a listen. More and more go into service every day, so you’re all likely to fly on one sooner or later.
If you have questions or suggestions, email Dave.

“American is not seeing significant numbers of changes” – could the public concern of flying the max just be overblown media hype yet again or maybe passengers are more likely on a schedule, don’t want to wait a few hours for the next flight, and decide to take the flight anyway?
BeeInBigD – Travelers know they’re on a MAX when they book, so people should be mostly weeded out before that happens. This would really just be those who book the MAX and then freak out closer to departure, which apparently isn’t happening.
