Not exactly a rah-rah piece for Labor Day but sometimes truth is more important than timing.

The real dividing line between airlines at this point is who can get their costs down as closely to the new level of revenues and those that cannot/do not.

A number of airlines are paying a high premium to get employees off of the active employee list but eliminating a very small part of the salary and benefits costs associated w/ those employees -and that won’t do much to stem the flow of red ink.
