Where can we Inspire Humanity next? – JetBlue Out of the Blue
Basic Economy is coming to JetBlue, and that’s yet another proof point that the lure of low fares is inescapable. It’s hard to comment on whether this makes sense or not until I see the actual plan to roll it out. I would bet that JetBlue will do this better than the legacies, but that’s a pretty low bar.
Two for the road:
Primera Air goes bankrupt after a catastrophic summer – The Economist Gulliver
To the surprise of pretty much nobody, Primera Air has gone belly up. You’ll remember Primera as another airline trying to do low-cost long-haul flying over the Atlantic. “Where can we Inspire Humanity next?” SPARE ME! Glad I haven’t had breakfast yet, because I’m inspired to rainbow-yawn!
I’d love to see Hawaiian add HNL or OGG service to MSP.
Brett, the Economist link about Primera has a (soft?) paywall and I got a “you’ve reached your article limit” error even though I didn’t visit their website at all this month.
Here is a tip you didn’t hear from me.
Copy the article headline from either the paywall page or the blurb in this blog.
Go to Google and paste it in the search bar.
Google will bring up its usual list with your article at or near the top.
9 times out of 10 it will take you around the paywall directly to the article.
While this won’t work on all sites, it will work on an amazing number of them.
Primera bankruptcy was unavoidable, the competition is hefty in the industry
