DOT now says that airlines have to give prompt refunds during cancellations or significant schedule changes. That’s great news for travelers in that this means United and JetBlue likely can’t hold on to your money for a long time as they’re doing now. But “significant” isn’t defined by DOT, and that leaves it open to interpretation. I talked to Dawn about this.
