There seems to be a lot of interest in this new United test I wrote about on Thursday. As this article notes, it’s not even a test yet but people seem to like the idea.

  1. I wonder how many people will buy no penalty tickets between major business cities for late afternoon or early evening Friday’s or Sundays in hopes of being contacted to sell their seat back to UA and make something on the deal, and then just cancel and refund their ticket.

    They would need something internal to track that to keep people from scamming them for freebies.

    1. David – I think the answer is probably to just offer it to people on non-refundable fares to avoid gaming the system. They have the info so should be able to use it.
