Great news about Delta's enhanced website functionality. I am not sure if you had realized that Continental has offered this and a lot more on their website for sometime now. In additiont to the upgrade and standby lists, you can even see the current status of the aircraft that will operate the flight one is on. Not only that one can go back a few flights and follow the progress of that particular aircraft (like the service you talked about in the last couple of days on your blog). I just hope others will emulate Continental and Delta.

I'm not a Delta flier (UA dude), however I love Delta's blog. More importantly, I really enjoy teh straightforward and technical posts - just the details. Sure there's occasionally marketing fluff, but I've found they've got a great balance. I think SWA's blog is filled with so much random stuff it's hard to wade through. I wish other airlines would jump in the fray (in particular: United). Although, it's funny - while at the SFO MX pow-wow back a few years ago with a number of FF's, United literally laughed at the idea of a blog, saying they doubted pilots or anyone else would volunteer thier time to write posts. Clearly a fundamental lack of undersatnding of the concept.

With Qantas throwing out $598 round-trip from LA to Sydney the interesting thing out of all of this for me will be what Delta finally joining the club will do to fares that are already half off from last year's levels.

I'm just loving the thought of an empty A380 from a stretch out and relax perspective! Does the thing echo when there's hardly anyone on board?
