“Tripe Surprise” is Tripe without Orange or Plum Sauce. It’s inclusion gives the perception of having more menu options….. much like Ryanair!

I think he is referring to the episode where Fawlty’s new high-powered chef is prepared to show his masterful duck dish to some important food critics that evening. Well, the chef gets drunk, and all they have to serve is tripe. Or it could be the episode when they think rat poison gets in the food. Or I can’t remember.

This month I flew THREE Ryanair flights (to England, Poland, and Hungary), and none of them were fully booked. All three flights were pretty empty.

Maybe Europeans are starting to care about customer service after all?
