Oh and about the peanuts and bottle of water, that was a nice perk for you. The flight from Vegas to Dallas was about 2 hrs 30 minutes and any snack was only for purchase. The choices were a gianormous oatmeal raisin cookie, a large multi-serving sized container of stacked Lays potato chips, and cranberry orange trail mix. I wasn't about to waste calories on that junk, so I was starving when I got to DFW, especially since I didn't have lunch. It would have been nice if they had offered those handful sized packets of pretzels, but I guess that would deter from the revenue generation from fat laden snacks.

I wish I had known you were at Blog World, too. I would have liked to have said hi.

I flew American from Vegas to RDU via DFW. I was able to check in and print my boarding passes at the convention center kiosk, which was nice to get out of the way. I wish I had known those were there earlier so that I could have gotten better upgrade priority.

Actually, it had almost a full set of airlines, though not quite. When I clicked on Delta, it took me into their kiosk interface and had me swipe a card. Then it kept telling me to see an agent. If they let you go that far into the process but it's actually not available for use, then that is ridiculous.

The kiosks at the convention center are for a limited set of airlines. I believe only United and Soutwest currently.
