To offer my $0.02: I have had nothing but positive experiences with Express Jet. Granted, only about half a dozen times, but 6 out of 6 is still 100%. Even though the planes are on the smaller side, I've been comfortable, received wonderful service, and had no snags in scheduling or anything. In fact, I think half the time, my flights have been able to leave/land a little early!

I was even pleased with the food. I've often made sure to eat dinner before getting on a plane, knowing I'd pick at the provided food at best, but I really enjoyed the Texas Chicken Wrap I had last time.

I've only had one route: Ontario, CA to Colorado Springs (and vice versa), so I don't know if that's a factor. But they do a few non-stops daily, and it's really been affordable (CheapoAir.com). No question that I'll be with them again next time I fly to CA.

I will never fly Express Jet. Ever. I book a flight from Tucson to Nebraska (which went up $100 per ticket in the four hours I waited to confer with my husband) additionally over the course of three weeks the flight times were changed three times and finally they canceled the outbound flight outright. No apologies, no remorse. Their attitude was "well...you can fly the day before or the day after" Instead, I canceled the flight and booked for another airline for the exact same price.

Just got back today, so I'll probably have a post by Monday on it. In short, it was a very good experience.

For me, it's not the seat pitch or width that concerns me. For some reason the padding on those seats seems to be lacking. That's why I'm excited about the memory foam. I'm not a tall guy, so the narrow cabin with low ceilings doesn't bother me either.

I don't understand what all the complaining is about regarding the ERJ travel experience... at least compared to the coach cabin of any mainline aircraft. ExpressJet's ERJs, flying as CO Express, are a tad wider (barely, but my point is that they aren't narrower) and have the same seat pitch as CO's mainline 737s. Unless you're 6'5" and have trouble boarding through the shorter cabin, how is the ERJ experience any more 'ass-numbing' than a flight of the same length in mainline coach?
